DVD Ripper Software

Hello,

I'm looking to find a good dvd ripper software that will copy to harddrive and can convert into to something Windows Media friendly (i.e. mpeg, etc.). I'm in the Navy, going on deployment and got a WD external drive to make packing easier and smaller.

Whether it's freeware or I have to purchase it, any suggestions?

Have a look at this http://www.magicdvdripper.com/ It will convert dvd to WMV. It doesn't get anymore WMP friendly than that.
