DVI Computer to HDMI Monitor

Is it possible to connect a Computer that has a DVI port to a monitor that has a HDMI port with the help of an adapter?

Yes. You need a DVI to HDMI cable that you can easily find on Newegg, Amazon, and Ebay to name a few. I did this for the build I made for my dad.

Issue is AUDIO does not come via the DVI so none will be provided to the HDMI

But if all he needs is video would this not suffice? As I read it it was for video only but I may have misunderstood.

Just didn't want a misunderstanding. Yes this will deliver Video -- but audio will need a component wire (if the tv supports that).
