Im running a machnie on XP pro, and keep getting the error message:

The instruction at "0x55b11950" referenced memory at "0x55b11950" The memory could not be "read"

Does any know what this is?

thanks...

The program crashed. Most likely because it is poorly written (amost everything is). More unlikely, because of a hardware problem.

It might help if you actually told us which program dies and when does it happen.

I don't know what program dies,

it just happens once the computer has fully booted

so i presume its a program thats in startup..

there are no programs in the startup in programs though..

To see whats actually loading with Windows... START / RUN and type MSCONFIG then click on the Startup tab.

You can untick any superfluos ones - just don't untick your security program!

If you make a list & post it, I'll have a look.

Thanks for that I've removed the startup programs that aren't needed..

It's got rid of the startup error.. but i'm getting an error report now:

ManagementAgentNT.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Details:

C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERdddc.dir00\ManagementAgentNT.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERdddc.dir00\appcompat.txt

this pops up all the time if you send it another pops up about 5 minutes later..

any help please...?

Thanks for all the help ive sorted it..

There was a problem with the sophos anti-virus thats installed on this machine...
