Hi Everyone

I'm full up (my hard drives that is). So I'm going to get a external hard drive but don't know too much about them as the product only gives tech specs and little else. The reason I need an external is to help out my son as he has got some games for christmas and theres no room on the PC !

1. Is a external the same as a normal HDD ? can I install games on a external ?

2. Is a external ok to use on a normal PC ?

3. My mobo has usb 2.0 and RAID is this ok ?

Thanks V_S_D

The majority of external drives are USB 2.0 and Firewire (1394). Whichever your motherboard supports is fine.

I would recommend using an external drive for storage and backup only.
Figure out how to clean off your internal drives and use those for games and applications. You could also get a larger internal drive (if your machine supports it) and move the contents from your current drives to that disk.
