Game Streaming Investigation: Which Quality Settings Are Best?

Back in January Tom's hardware did a good comparison of CPUs and streaming - generally concluding you need at least 6 cores and preferably 8 if you want to up the encoding quality settings. I look forward to the next couple of articles on Techspot as an update.

Going live is not perfect, but that's the nature of the beast, used both AMD and NVIDIA, prefer shadow play.

Thats funny how what they said makes sense.
I was telling some other guy on another thread to go the intel hexa-core route.
No matter how good any cpu quadcore is, when you start encoding, while gaming, streaming.
It'll need a good beefy hexa or octa core to keep things smooth as ice.

Back on Sandy Bridge. Intel Quick Sync laughs at both Nvidia and AMD. I wonder what about now.

I highly doubt that especially with amd inc improving over the years.
They acquired some new good engineers from intel.
Nvidia will always outdue intels gpu department.
That company is determined not to be outdone by anyone.
