HDD led

i have a intel 845GLAD mother board. all its front panel connections are correct n working good exclude hdd led light. its always on like power led. (not blinking ). i have win xp service pack 2. 40 gb hdd , samsung dvd writter. hdd primary n dvd secondary master. 512mb ram too. what i have 2 do make that hdd led to blink like all other meachine. my connection like the pic

Make sure that the HDD connector is on the right motherboard pins. If the connector is one the right pins, reverse the HDD connector on the motherboard header

the LED would have to be associated with an incorrect connection. Re-check your HDD LED cable connection
