Help with ABC123.PID

Hi everyone, please be patient with me I'm new to this online techsupport stuff. Ok quick question, I've been using computers since the old IBM AT's. So I'm relativley computer literate. I've come across this ABC123.PID and ABC123.DAT nonsence. I've read about it on the net and everything I do will not get rid of it. None of my Spybot / Ad-ware / SpyDoctor stuff will perminently remove it. Can anyone help. I'm using ME and it's a Toshiba Satellite. I understand it's running IE in the back ground and I'm am able to end it for a while. I've deleted it from the TEMP folder and constantly monitor the InternetTemp Folder and the Temp Folder itself as well. I've created new system restore points after I've cleaned things, but it keeps coming back upon rebot. Any help would be much appreciated.
