I recently came across the Heur virus, as detected by my AVG scan that I finally got to work. I've been unable at times to even boot up in safe mode, but other times I can boot up fine, only for Windows to run a dozen errors and I have to shut down. I've only been able to run a scan once, fully.. and I'm attaching the Virus Vault from that scan.
After running that scan and rebooting, my pc froze again, several times prompting me to have to manually turn it off before it even totally booted up. Now that I am finally able to get on and actually open up firefox, I'm not able to load certain sites, such as anything that has anything to do with virus scan. I tried to download hijack this, and it gives me the same 'failed to connect' error as I got all the other times looking for other virus scan machines.
Not sure where to go from here.
