HP / Dell / etc. Laptop password help (April - July 2008)

That's sad :(
How quickly they forget.

Also the personal pay service is against TechSpots TOS here.
So that kind of service needs to be at another forum that don't care about this disregard to helping others.

The cheapest is still Dell (actual Dell.com) at $39 for the Dell laptops password removal (see last weeks posts here, a couple of pages back)

But it's always best to check this thread fully first. From start to finish.

so sad ... :( ... i viewed the previous replies, they still provided the password for users in Beginning of this month ... but now just 2 weeks later only ... all ask for money already ... anyway if wan to blame, just only can blame myself ... if i found that my notebook unable to open in beginning of May, i still able to get the password from them ... :(

Regards,
May May

Thanks.
when you start the laptop hit direct f2 and he ask for the pass type this password ( wrhussh)
good luck

Hi champ,

I can't either send you a PM nor send you an email due the low posts I have.

But I don't think the shorting method will work on my dell, if I remove the hard drive the bios enters correctly.

Thanks anyway

omnibook 510 setup password

Hi,

just came across this great thread that seems to be the only place on the net where you can get help with lost omnibook passwords.

I'm using a omnibook 510 here for about 5 years now and still love this little thing. Unfortunately I set a setup password a few years ago and can not remember it.

I appreciate any help allowing me to use my baby futher on.
The system hash code is 15022.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

I thought they had killed you by now.

nice one

********

for me it looks like this thread gets worse every day. I went through the last pages and its really funny what people tell happened.
I always wanted to find a solution and make it available for free but somehow I am happy now because I didn't find a solution myself.

sorry to say so but I now understand why people make money with this. at least they have to pay for their lousy lies... :)

again i tell all people who has locked dell laptop: free cheese only in mousetrap. it's not so surpirse that people who have gen wants money. that's because we know the story(most of it, at least).

Thanks Champ, but none of the passwords in your PM work either! Does it make a difference if there is a bios and a boot up password set? The 4150 I have asks for a password to boot up as well as F2 to enter setup.

I've just been offered a HDD password for $80 !!! - paypal payment. I don't think this is really the spirit of these type of forums.

Can anyone help for free, (Dell is my next choice, but I would rather not wait) or is this forum (or at least this thread) just for those wanting to make money?

Thanks in advance
The Jester
