i bought 3 dell lap tops can someone help me with bios passwords please

hey guys i just bought 3 lap tops from someone and they have a bios password on them i called dell and got laughed at here are the models f them i also have the service tag if u need them please let me know im new to this the models are 600 m and 2200 inspiron please help me out

I dont know about the hp but i do know if you cant remember the admin (bios password you are out of luck you would have to replace the motherboard) It happened before too me on a dell.

I have some corrections:
Inspiron 600m and 700m does not like X300 use 5 digit code to make master password. It use 7digit service tag. Ask www.spunlock.com to get master password for any dell laptops and other brands as well. Spunlock is very first who start to fix dell password trouble so they should know well about all models of dell, including sophisticated -A95B type of service tag.

Inspiron X300 really use phoenix 5-digit code to get password, as for [06235] password is 1113507

wulfcomp, yes you dell x300 not have ordinary tag number like usual cause it dosn't
has same bios version!, x300 like dell 700m have a PHOENIX bios so the service tag number is simply 5digit tag number. you can ask here for further infos.

Can't get past the bios password

i got a used Dell Latitude D610! from my brother, but unfortunately the knuckle head secured it by setting a bios password, which he doesn't remember... can you help me?
my service tag is: JYVDW81-595B. I appreciate any help you can offer, so I can finally get to use this thing!

Hi guys

Any help on this would be gratefull i apologise first of all if this is in the wrong section ive just take ownership of a latitude d620 only to find it has a dell admin password on it with the service tag or computer system #f5ns72j-595b is protected by a password authentication system (errrr what) please help just before that comes on it gives a msg saying invalid configuration information please run setup program however on boot up i cannot enter any bios or setup the loading bar sticks then the above password request comes on

Hi,

I have a Compaq nx9005 laptop with a bios password. I need to remove this, and tried by removing RTC battery to failure.

I have discoved the system hash for password, hash code 0600, can anyone help me with the master password.

sorry to say so but this thread became a gib mess.
I really don't get it... top reasons for pw protected dell laptops:

- my friend doesn't remember
- my brother doesn't remember
- the seller doesn't remember or doesn't answer my emails

guys, honestly, if your friends do not remember the password which they need to work with their computer everyday, how do they remember the way to the bathroom every morning? and if you buy a laptop from ebay they have to tell you if it is pw protected. if they don't you can send the laptop back and get your money refunded. if you really want to keep the device then call dell. its easy to say "dell doesn't help" if you never tried but read in the internet. everything else, for me, is stolen devices and I would be careful with posting the service tags in this forums!!!

you are absolutely right.

...............if anyone buy a password, seller needs the Service Tag too and by the way, he gets buyers full real name and adress from PayPal, so think about what you are doing.
