NX9010 master password

Hi,

Thanks for any time looking in advance - I'd never have thought of putting a post here, but fingers crossed :)

I get stacks of newer generation laptops that are locked - a mix of end-of-lease ex-corporate, laptops originally destined to be recycled etc. I have one here for example, an NX9010 hash code 07649 s/n CNF3512VG2, pn DJ316T#ABU - if anyone has any luck with a master password , I'd be greatful. Advice on which of the tools used would also be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
M

Dell Latitude d820 Bios Pas

could someone please help me with the bios password of a dell latitude d820
service tag is gk5x62j
express service code is 360-477-864-91

Have you set your BIOS password? if so you will need to remove the CEMOS battery. Some systems have 2 so check the motherboard manual. Most dells have one. When you remove the battery leave it out for 24 hrs then put it back in and the password should have gone.

Dell D620

Hi All,
I'm a n00b here and desperately need help getting past a password on my Dell
D620.
I've read several hours now and found many post but need to find best way around service tag that ends in -595B.

My service tag # is: can be emailed
Service Code: 7890137857

Bios Revision A04

Does the paperclip method work on the D620?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

No the paperclip method does not work on the D620. Some solutions have been posted to the forum, so you might want to wade through them.
But in general, the D620 is among the most difficult of all computer passwords to recover... exceeded only by Lenovo...

I have a Gateway MX7515, tried to remove the BIOS password by changing it to blank, and now it doesn't accept any password at all! If I try 3 times it says "System disabled [ 04374]", which I suspect is a hash code like HP has (Phoenix BIOS, looks the same as in the screenshots, etc), so can anyone generate a password for it? Thanks.

(Gateway wants to charge some crazy amount to reset it even though it's their fault, a bug in the BIOS... <_<)

[edit] Nevermind, I found a password someone else generated for the same hash code, it's "lylemon". :D

Your password is that blank code... so figger out how you configured the "blank" area, because that is your password.

Does it give you a 5-digit code when you press F12 or enter the wrong password 3 times?

this is my first post, i spent TIME on the phone with dell and they cant help cause the owner i got it from gave me his false info.......(swap meet)!!!! when i bought it ,the guy said all it needed was an operating system....yeah right!!!!when you turn it on it says "please enter hdd password" wtf???well...after entering it wrong about three times more it says "hdd master id: 46801423"..then after all that it says "hdd is locked now!"........can you help?service tag 4xgvkc1

no shutdown suddenly
Then you probably need a different method. That 5-digit code is needed to generate a password, so if it doesn't give you one, it doesn't support that method.
Of course, it could just have a different way to show the code. Looks like most Phoenix BIOSes have it somewhere.

This model does not respond to shorting. It has a 25 series EEProm Chip that does not respond to that technique
Hello I am new to the forum, could someone please confirm the above for a Dell Latitude D430 as I found an eeprom eight pin chip (Atmel) on the motherboard. If this can not be shorted is there another method of removing the password required to enter the BIOS? I have already tried using the latitude generator which did not create a correct password.

Thank you.

inspiron 1420

does the paperclip method work for this one? I have the thing taken apart, but can't seem to find the right chip. Anybody have a diagram for this particular model? also, how does spunlock do it, without access to your computer? if they can do it, myself or someone else could also.

Be aware that contacting Dell Support is still the best method
But otherwise read on

Here's a few excellent links: (I've found)

Some useless info about the chip (that some1 might find interesting):

Edit:

A good resource of lots of free utilities
Including Asset.com and Svctag.exe (to put your service tag back on)
Plus lots of other old Dell utility stuff

raybay: I just like a good challenge now and again! Sooooo, I found a 24CO2 chip, and jumped the pins. Nothing happened. I did a little more reading, and on some inspiron models, there is also one for wlan. after reading this, I noticed the chips close proximity to a "broadcom" chip. Guess I just erased the firmware..... still looking for that chip!

You probably didn't erase the firmware by shorting pings, but be careful you're not shorting power/ground pins to arbitrary places. You'd want to short address/data pins to corrupt the data in transit, I would imagine.

(BTW, "just looking for a challenge" sounds suspicious... but I can certainly understand not wanting to spend a month waiting for Dell to verify you, and then probably having to pay them and mail it in after that.)

Tuba lol that's funny :)

I think you should read all the posts here.

Yes Dell is the best method still (an informed judgement here)

glenreez sent me a link via a pm (which has been posted many times in these threads), could anyone confirm if it is a valid service or just a scam?
Thanks.
