IBM Thinkpad 600E password recovery
Hello everyone,
recently a friend o'mine got me a Thinkpad 600E he found...computer seems to be "fine" but it has password set...which we don´t know for sure... when plugging a monitor screen to it, it shows a shackle icon which accepts 3 password attempts in roman numbers...after 3, it gets halt...
i was wondering if someone knows if this models can get password cleared and can help me clear it?

How is this HDD lock working ?
I have a Dell 430 which I have the master password for but the HDD is locked. I got the master password for that also but it will not open it.
Is it so that the HDD password uses the BIOS password also ?

No problems, just an everyday issue here (well every couple of hours or so)
Usually I remove the post, and continue on.
Actually this is now the first thing I do when I log on, locate all the Dell etc etc password replies and new threads all over the place, and remove remove remove (sometimes removing members too, if they repost somewhere other than here)
Actually I'll give a good link to one yesterday, that I didn't remove !

Hi, my husband and I just purchased a compaq presario notebook from an online auction (propertyroom.com) and there is a BIOS password locked into it we've tried some of everything to remove it but we still haven't had any luck with it. We found out that the hash code is 06232. Is there anyone out there who can help us?

Bump - someone must know how it works ?
I have a very big favor to ask someone. I’m needing some help getting past a BIOS password on a HP OmniBook 900b. Actually there are two of them I am working on. The main one I need access to the BIOS has a hash code that reads like this [ 07347] It appears to have a space before the zero. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not. The second one is [ 23644] but isn’t as important to me right now. I would love to have it but my concern is the [ 07347] right now. Many, many, thank yous to someone who can help me with this. If someone will help me, I will be sure to post back the results and thank you.
