Dell latitude d620 password

Hello,
I have a dell latitude d620 with a system password. I have tried the shorting method on the motherboard chip with no luck. I have read many post and realize it wont work this way. I have done several laptops in the past with the 24c chips with great success but this one doesn't have that chip. I read up on the ST chip (mp****?) and it is a security device but to reset it you need a special programmer or something. I was hoping that someone might be able to decode it for me. The service tag is CMLM2B1. Any help or advice would be Greatly appreciated! I hope that I may be of help to someone else here so dont hesitate to ask!
Thank you,
Monte

Hi Everyone! Omnibook 900B BIOS Locked Out

How y'all doin? I'm new to the forums and recently noticed they have been helpful to most people. I would like to see if someone is still around that can provide an unlock code for my second or third hand notebook. It's an HP Omnibook 900b. I got it at a mom & pop computer shop down the road from my house. It's pretty decent, but the BIOS is locked and won't allow me to enter the setup. Any takers?

The Hash code is 12831 if that helps at all.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone around still has the ability to unlock these things, and is willing to help me out.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

I recently purchased my laptop from ebay. When it turns on it automatically goes to the grey dell screen asking for the admin password. Since the laptop is not registered in my name, Dell won't help me. Can someone please help with an admin password. My service tag is GVDQ6C1 and express service code is 36726025105 (if that is needed.) Thanks!

BIOS EEPROM replacement, help needed

Hey guys,

I've been searching around google on this topic for a while and I still cannot find the answers I'm looking for.

I have an ASUS F6V series notebook and unfortunetly, I've lost the password that gets me into BIOS setup (Laptop is still functional perfectly). I phoned its support line but I was given none-working mastercodes and a suggestion for send-in repair.

So I figure the easier way to solve this is to replace the eeprom(s) i found on the motherboard (resetted bios setting with killcmos but problem persisted) with ones available on ebay for sale.

Before that, I have several questions for you guys, ;)
- What model is my chip? (it shows "4430B" on top)
- Will other models work? (24xx,25xx)
- Are there other ways to do hard reset on EEPROMs? (like short-circuit pins etc?)

Thanks!!

If your model is listed here, visit Link Removed
If you are able to boot from anything, use dst software.
If not, read pdf from Fastback68 and use paperclip procedure.

moritz1969, just download the dst cd image, burn it to a cd and boot the laptop with it. it will ask you for a new service tag to be entered.

Admitting you know you have possession of a stolen laptop and from a school no less and you are keeping it will not get you any help here. If you were stand up you would return it to the school.

Peace
