I Also have the same problem With a dell latitude D430 unfortunately the generators available
atleast to the general public do not work with service tags ending in 59-5b im never one to
take the easy way out ive read the threads and am still somewhat confused I used to hate
working on Dells at Circuit City but now that I own one i would like the chance to cherish it
haha more importantly it was a gift from a friend in exchage for helping him free of
charge

if any one could verify the shorting method will work with this one and the eeprom
chip is type 24 not 38 i would be morethan up to the challenge since the pictures page was
removed from paragons site I was unable to verify if the shorting method will work on this
specific model or if anyone could be of further assistance i would be more than greatfull and
pardon the long post but it feels good to get this out in the open i even filled out the
ownership transfer report on dells siteunfortunately theprevious owner is from china it was left
on a plane my friend works at an airport go figure
