I can't open anyprogram in my laptop

I've got this problem with my laptop that I cant change background nor open any application.. or connect the internet
please help me I got presentation to do by moneday..

now I can connect the internet but not run any program.. even messenger but I can open firefox :blackeye:

post an epdated log from safe mode after running AVG, Adaware, spybot search and distroy and microsoft anti spyware

and turn off system restore if you havent done so alredy

I did but I still cant run msn messenger or even show my computer and my document on desktop by the way I cant change the background to any picture I only can changr colors :dead: ..
