My power source is 750

what im hoping is if someone can tell mewhats the next video card I can use from the 1 im using now(make sense)
I was told the puter is to old to upgrade the processor but the video card would be a better choice
Id like to stay with radeon if possible
my budget id like to say $150...I dont want the next state of the art card I just want something better than what I got now....

thanks everyone
jerry

First; is this an OEM retail PC (store bought) like HP, Dell? If so, I need the brand/make/model of OEM PC? OEM PC's are harder to upgrade hardware as those cases the OEM manufacturers use are proprietary (with their own sizes and dimensions for their case and hardware that goes in them).

If this is a custom build, I need the brand/make/model of all your hardware. That MS information is all but crap.

Is this it.......https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113177

If that's it and your PSU is 750 watts.....then you should be able to upgrade the GPU. Now, your issue is going to be price point. Due to the Bitcoin mining surge....GPU prices have double.

If that is your system from link above it states that is has a AMD HD 6750 and your MS system specs list a AMD R9 200. There are quite a few 200 series models.

I really need your exact hardware system specs.

LOL...that is it
Ive tried repeatedly to figure out what this card is exactly but ive never been able to
I have been gaming most of my life
Is there an exact way to do this
ssome kinda internet to

If your PC is what @plankton23 linked, you have a 500 watt PSU. That's not too bad. Even if it is 750 watt, you're good to go. I would recommend a AMD 570 if you play higher end games, AMD 560 if you play more esports. On the green side, a 1050/1050ti would be your choices.

However, looking at Newegg shows you're not getting much for $150. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...IsNodeId=1&N=100007709&LeftPriceRange=100 150
Though there are some 560's below $150.

There's a few programs that will tell you. I particularly like HWiNFO (32/64) for that.

Ok that program you linked to says its a

XFX Radeon R9 280
AMD Radeon HD 7950/R9 280
TAHITI PRO
PCIe v3.0 x16 (8.0 GT/s) @ x16 (2.5 GT/s

is there a way to copy all the info on video card at once with that program?

It's an older GPU but still pretty good for it's time. If you want to replace it....I'd go with a GTX 1060 although the GTX 1050 Ti is a tad bit cheper, you'll get a better gaming experience with the 1060....again, pricing is way out of control due to bitcoin mining. Any where for $349 to $559. I paid $199 for my EVGA GTX 1060 3Gb almost a year ago. Now the same card is $500. Crazy!!!!!

Now you need to decide is it worth it.

If your budget is max $150 like you stated earlier, than it's the RX 550, RX 560, GTX 1050, GTX1050ti. If you can break that budget, then the RX570/580 or the GTX 1060 is the way to go. Though as @plankton23 stated, current GPU costs are through the roof making it a bad time to buy a new card.

What games do you play?

Oh yeah 1 thing I forgot to say is my present video card is going bad so I have to get another one.....you guys are sure the above cards mentioned will definitely word with my setup.I will pay a local guy to put it in

Work and compatibility are essentially the same thing....and all that really means is; does your mobo have the right slot to fit GPU pin connection type. Every thing being produced now as far as mobo and GPU's go, are all PCI. No worries with that. The only concern is the minimum power requirement of the GPU.

If it's a boxed OEM system like a Dell, HP, Gateway or some other company.....95% of the time it's a NO. The 5% of the time that can your options are limited to what you can upgrade to and the performance gain on those are only negligible at best.

This is exactly why I don't like buy/suggesting OEM PCs. I like to suggest DIY kit of preassembled parts....these are a complete kit. Just assemble and power up....some even come assembled. This allows for later hardware upgrades on component basis.

Well I figured id at bare minium replace my card with the same one I have now

But after my searches im getting crazy prices like $500 and I just dont think thats right

I wanted to see if a few people could search and see if they getting the same

Video card
Xfx radeon r9 280
3gb
Pci v3.0

Anybody happen to find that same card I already have for less than $500
If so could a link be provided
Thanks in advance

I would rather have the 280 personally. Microcenter has this but you have to go to a store:

http://www.microcenter.com/single_p...&MccGuid=e2f5da46-cbe5-4de3-ae39-f3c0cba04731
Also have the 570 for $229 again in store only:

When you say in store you mean real store on a street or something else?

If I can get a upgrade for a decent price I will as long as it will it work in my pc
Thanks for links
