Inno3D GF 9600GT compatibility with Dell precision 470?

Hello there, I am very pleased to find the place

back to the topic:
Ive got precision 470 with 4 g ram 550w power supply 3.6 intel xeon, and recently obtained a gf 9600 armoured gt card tried it on but but everything I getting from it is a blank screen only!?
Is it compatible with my system do you know?
Is it a faulty card? (as it wasn't new when I obtained it) an i fix it?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
