Internet conencted but no connection

hi my friend is at my place and we were going to lan but now the internet is working its been working here for him before but now it just wont work

hes connected to my router but the only application that will work is skype but nothing else no webpages or anything...

hes running a netbook on windows XP

what shall i do? ive tryed to reconnect several times and restarting the router aswell as the wireless card on the netbook but it still wont work PLEASE HELP ME IM GOING CRAZY!

Skype will work but you cannot get webpages? My guess is it's a DNS'ing issue.
