IPS vs VA vs TN vs QD-OLED vs WOLED Explained

As I said, it's for watching videos and internet. I don't game but anyways, in the budget monitors segment, I don't think it would be such a noticeable difference. Of course, gamers want faster refresh rate even if, passed 120hz, I don't think it's really worth it considering the graphic card performances and the perception of the extra frames.

Being alone in front of the computer there's no real need for more viewing angles (it's not a TN).

About color accuracy, having worked for years in CGI, I can tell you that it's just for an ultra minority of people.

Many VA panels have gamma shift just from moving your head slightly, especially true if ultrawide or big screen.

I don't use any panel below 120 Hz, even on phone I don't accept less.

60 Hz should be a thing of the past really. 120 Hz is the new minimum. Hope to see 60 Hz panels vanish going forward.

I have two 4k IPS benq panels for my workstation ...with excellent colour accuracy . They do 60fps but I am not into competitive gaming. I do CGI. They were very pricey £700 each 6 years ago and they are going to stay with me for years to come. My TV is another issue I had a 1080p Sony TV with excellent colour, contrast and viewing angles until 2017 and then I bought a 4k samsung .. which is terrible, it reflects, viewing angles are bad, it is slow .... Big mistake. I might upgrade soon.

I really don't understand this nonsense about OLED's being not bright enough, because back when I had LED tv's in my house and a monitor they always ran at 100% brightness.

Now finally upgrading to OLED monitor it runs at 30% uniform brightness, and my OLED tv's run at 45% brightness all in a well lit rooms. Pls stop with this nonsense about dim OLEDs.
