MegaUpload founder Kim Dotcom’s legal woes are far from over. The Internet entrepreneur is fighting extradition to the United States where he is facing the largest copyright infringement case in history in addition to civil lawsuits from the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry Association of America stemming from the 2012 shutdown of his file hosting company.

The public narrative of how things have transpired in the case thus far has been covered time and time again but not everyone is buying the official story. Specifically, Dotcom and his legal team believe he was illegally targeted as part of a conspiracy between parties that may include New Zealand and US authorities, Hollywood studios and spy agencies.

The only problem is that he doesn’t have the evidence to prove it, at least not yet. Dotcom is hoping that a $5 million bounty will help uncover some answers.

Dotcom announced the bounty, payable to anyone that provides useful information in the case, via Twitter.

In a follow-up interview with TorrentFreak, Dotcom said they are looking for information that proves unlawful or corrupt conduct by any parties involved. He said it is the opinion of his legal team that disclosure of such information would be lawful. Furthermore, Dotcom also promised the best legal representation at zero cost to any whistleblower that comes forward.

Those with information are encouraged to reach out to a well-known newspaper with a proven track-record in handling leaks like the Guardian.

5 millions can buy you many hit men, Kim, if that's what you're looking for. That's one way to dodge the allegations ;)

People talk about hit men so often but does anyone even know how to get one? (inconspicuous question)
Try billboard in your local convenience store ;) Hit men usually disguise as homo men, so if you just post "looking for a homo", leave your phone number, you'll get so many hits, it will be murder! ;)

I'm pretty sure you can check craigslist postings. I hear they often act under the guise of "Mechanics" :p

Everybody that wants a "hit man", gets a hit man. Although somewhat inconveniently, and if the evening news is any indicator, they all seem to work for the FBI.

That notwithstanding, the completion of Senor Dotcom's task, would require killing the entire staff of the RIAA, the MPAA, and all of their lawyers. Alas, 5 million would be chump change toward such an "undertaking". (Yeah, I put those quotes there for the intended bad pun, so what)?

Sounds like a publicity stunt, copying the idea behind Edward Snowdon’s popularity. He is never going to have to payout anything, because he is no Edward Snowdon. Just a copyright launderer.

I will give evidence to prove that he is guilty of distribution of media without a licence, for no charge.

It is just a basic grabbing at straws attempt at psycho-sociological manipulation.

By asking for evidence to prove that he was illegally targeted as part of a conspiracy, anybody reading it is supposed to believe that it is true, to the tune of $5 million, when in fact it is not.

So tell me this why isn't google, youtube being sued for $7.8trillion? They are by your logic the biggest child porn, software & film pirates in history where you can also get info on how to make big bombs etc.... So go on tell me why arent they being sued for giving everyone access to all those "illegal things" when clearly by your logic they should be sued for everything they have.

Try turning to one of your neighbours, co-workers, man-on-the-street or even your friendly street corner drug dealer. Somebody's sure to oblige. Every person has a price (as the saying goes). Why are you asking this, do you want somebody greased?

No, its more subtle than that.

If some USGov worker gets him some data then either it will absolve him of guilt, or the judge will declare mistrial.

Either way Dotcom wins.

Kim.com is also offering a reward to prove that MI5 killed Princess Diana.

Even if Dotcom loses, does all these governments think that it will stop all piracy? Also Wastedkill is correct. Why are they going after Google and You Tube. They are probably the biggest distributors of copyrighted material today. You can go on You Tube and type "full movies" in the search box and get all kinds of copyrighted movies.

Type in "how to make a nuclear bomb", "Child Porn", "download films", "Where to meet a suicide bomber", "Where is the best place to plant a bomb in the white house" Google all of these and you will get info on everyone and even films etc... I also found bestgore the site thanks to google...

you obviously know nothing about the case , not often they have to give someone all the stuff they took back and the prime minister has to give you an apology. This is one of the most suspicious cases ever. There's already a huge list of let's says 'dubious' practices taken place.
