Leadtek 6800 dead? (agp version)

Well, my friend had a 6800 GT from leadtek. He was playing Path of Neo and all of a sudden it crashed on him. He thought it was just another random restart. It turns out that when he went to push the power button again, theres no bios screen and the screen seems to go into standby. We plugged another video card into his mother board and it worked fine. The card is now mine and he gave me this one. It does the same thing on my motherboard. Is it just a 340$ rock now? Specs:
Mainboard is a K8T800-8237 Socket 754
Processer is 3000+ 64 bit
512 RAM
Current drivers: latest forceware 81.??

Sounds like a dead card. It should still be under warranty though.
