You couldn't possibly be more wrong. Since the dawn of commerce, nearly all prices were kept in the head of the vendor making the sale, who quoted a price to each individual customer separately.Oops! Your references to economics are strawmen. Never, in the history of commerce, has any retailer been able to change pricing as quickly as they now can with digital pricing.
Your point is doubly wrong, since eCommerce has existed for several decades now, 100% of which has digital pricing ... and yet those prices invariably average lower than those retailers using printed tags.
Translation: "don't confuse me with facts; my mind is made up." I never suggested Amazon is *always* cheaper than all other sources. But e-Commerce sites in general average lower prices than the "non-digital pricing" of printed tags. Period. And I don't GAS about what you say about Amazon. IMO, they are not worth my business. Amazon profits because people continue to use them and accept that they are in the business of delivering products they sell at the least possible cost
