Motherboard cooked?

i'm new too this so i might be a bit slow...

got a computer last year. never used the dvd drive until recently and found that when i used it the computer would more often then not shut down. assumed it was a power supply problem but wanted to try a different cd drive to see if it was some other connection.
so, stupidly plugged in the cd drive power with the computer power on.
computer suddenly shuts down and when it turns on again i get no video signal and no usb port power.
the board is an intel D94GTP, D945PLM if thats at all usefull.
also the psu is a Mious ATX model 400u.

is there any sort of fuse on the board that i could have blown?
or something else?

thanks

Try changing the power supply first. If the problem is still there, the motherboard may be toast. Now you know what to NEVER do again, don't you...
