This just happened last night ... my 1.5 year old Dell 5550 laptop computer screen goes blank to nothing while it's on ... the sound is still on while I was watching a video. I pressed the ON button to reset but it wouldn't reset. The screen would not show anything. I had to dislodge the battery pack and put it back in and restart it. This happened 2-3 times. I had to take out the battery pack and put it back in to restart it. Finally, it restarted and the Window Defender ran a Quick Scan and found "no virus".
I am going to backup all my files to an external drive when I have a chance.
Should I call Dell to see what the issue is? It still might be under warranty.
