New update wont allow wifi

SO
I'm not very computer smart at all. I have a school computer that I'm using for this upcoming year. However, the computer did an auto update a little bit ago. I can't stop auto updates because it is a school computer. But now I cannot connect to the internet at all without using an Ethernet cable. It doesn't even shown any other kind of connections around me. Nothing.

I've looked it up but I haven't found anything to fix this. My network adapter is working, everything is enabled form what I've looked into and tried to fix. I can't figure out what is wrong!

My mother did say that it could be the network card thing died, but it doesn't make sense. If I go back to previous restore points, the automatic update happens around the next day and I'm back to square one. Yet restore points have perfect internet connection.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Bet this is a win10 system - and the undate replaced you wifi driver.
The solution will be to go to the website for your wifi chip and download the win10 driver for it. So first, find the make/model of the chip.
