No sound

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and need help.The other day I deleted my sound files by accident. Now I have no sound at all.The files were sound Max I have a dell with windows XP professional pack build 2600 Demension 3000.Is there someone out there that could walk me through the process of installing drivers? I would really thank you for your help. Billy K.

You may have to register but it is free. You should be able to find you sound drivers there if not look on the website of the sound card your using

Thanks Blake, and all who responded, I have my sound again and am a happy man. Now back to Call of Duty lol.
