Hi:

When I try to watch a video i would go to bottom of screen and see my speaker icon.
now it is not there!! When I go into my computer, the volume page is grayed out giving me no option to adjust! in hardware advanved or anywhere is the a run command I can do? Not sure how I erased my volume!!!! Thanks

check on your device manager & try to see if there's any yellow
flag under sound,video & game controller.(might need to re-install
the sound driver).

you have to go to your hardware manufacturers website.

if you have onboard sound, then go to your motherboard's
manufacturer website.

if you're using a PCI sound card, then go to your sound card's
manufacturer website.

Hey there turbo1

Sounds like a problem with the sound drivers. Before trying to find the drivers online, put in your motherboard CD that came with your computer when you purchased it. All the necessary sound drivers should be located on that disk... This should save you the trouble of trying to find out what type of sound card you have installed and the type of drivers that you require.

Hey there Spyder_1386,

looks like deseraligears is looking for a site where to
download the driver (if he had to).that's why TechSpot is here,to point
the user to the right direction. :grinthumb

and the latest driver version may kick start the volume control
& make the sound components to work again. ;)
