Null error when starting internet explorer

Hey i am running vista on a dell inspiron 1525 notebook and am having problems.
I try to go onto the internet through internet explorer and a window pops up at the top says pyagcore.search.searchdetection and iside the window says null i click on ok and then it says microsoft visual c++ runtime libraray and then in the window says runtime error program c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way

Apparently it affects msn live as well cause it shuts down right after a restart with the same null error

bring up IE and DISABLE all ActiveX Add-ons;
Tools->Manage Add-ons
quit IE and then restart it and access the site again.

i had the same problem with the null on my IE but that went away, but now i have the same problem with AIM and i was woundering if anyone would could shead some light on it and help
