So the 760 is the same as a 660/660TI? seems like a downgrade if you ask me should call it "760Ti last gen model limited edition"

Nvidia and AMD have been doing this for a while. Nothing new.
  4. Where the hell did you see it's like the 660/660 ti? The article clearly said it's like the 670. Basically, the 760 ti is the 670. Now don't forget there are higher models of the 670 but they are only saying it's the same as the 670 which would be the base/vanilla model.

So if you have a non vanilla model like the 670 2gb ftw, you don't need to get the 760 ti. There's no point. Since most of the 7 series from nVidia are rebadged models I would just wait till series 8 comes comes out. If you really need a card, wait till Nov. when nVidia cards go on sale.

Ye but seriously rebranded... why even both? 99% of all users looking for a card above 740 will find this stuff out and say "might as well not bother" which is lost sales I can understand a 10% increase over last gen but seriously its like calling a copy of iphone 1 the iphone 9 then saying "its new".

if it is a 10% increase then fine but when nothing has changed... waste of money!

The 670 is a solid performer and marketing it as a 760 ti isn't misleading at all, it does go fast enough to fill that gap and they are simply adding this card to fill the lineup.
No one is going to upgrade from a 670 to a 760 since we all know that a (x)70 is about the same as (x+1)60. It's supposed to be a similar performer and its aimed at someone with NO video card to upgrade to whatever fills the 400$ slot.
