Opera browser assistant

Every time opera updates they also insert a browser assistant. All it assists me doing is getting a blank screen when loading opera!
Easy enough to remove it by why do they insist on perpetuating this annoying fault!

Thanks but I didn't download it, I already have had Opera installed for years and this is in their auto update. This problem has started recently and occurs after every new update. Uninstalling the browser assistant solves the problem.
Was just commenting and wondering if others had the same problem
