Hello,
I'm sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere, but to be honest, I didn't know where to start looking for it.
I have an annoying problem with my Vista that started a few weeks ago. Whenever I right click on any file or folder, to rename or delete it, the hourglass pops up and it doesn't go any further. All the other buttons become inoperable. Basically I can't do anything and my only option is to switch off the power and reboot (I can't even shut it down) I have plenty of memory (2gb of RAM) and I don't hear any activity coming from the hard drive while i'm waiting.
I've tried running my antivirus and antispy software, and neither of them have resolved the problem. I've thought about doing a system restore, but I would have to restore it back several weeks, with no guarantee of it working, and I only want to try this as a last resort.
I was wondering if anybody else has encountered this problem, and whether they managed to fix it?
