hi i need to know what psu ill need for this pc thank you for any help-

parts-

ASUS P5KPL-CM Motherboard (LGA775, G31, 1333FSB, 2xDDR2-800, PCI-Ex16, 4xSATA-II, GigLAN, 8Chl, VGA, Firewire, mATX)

Core 2 Quad Q9550 (2.83GHz) - LGA775, 12MB Cache, 1333FSB

4096MB (2 x 2048MB) PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 RAM (Dual Channel)

250GB 7200rpm Serial ATA-II-300 HDD

22x DVD+-RW Dual Layer DVD Burner

Gigabyte GeForce 9800GT - 512MB DDR3

The Corsair CMPSU-650TX comes with a rebate which brings it down to $79.99. Hard to beat right now, awesome PSU.

For what it's worth, we've continually chosen the PSU for our buying guides (usually as the mid-range budget selection).

The 650TX is an excellent choice to consider.

You can also go with the equally-good, but cheaper Corsair 400CX and Antec BP500U if the 650TX is out of your budget.

if i were to replace the 9800gt card with a ASUS GeForce GTS250 would that bump up psu requirement?

or whats the min wattage psu ill need for this pc with the gts250 compared to 9800gt?

Not really. The GTS 250 is essentially a rebranded 9800GTX+ with more VRAM. Power requirements will be more or less the same, give or take an amp.

Either of the PSUs above will be more than sufficient IMO.
