Purchasing online video streaming

Hi,
I am thinking about buying a course supplied in video form. Thing is the videos can only be accessed online! So i will never have them on my hard drive, and i am not overly happy with that situation. How can i be sure the vids will always be there for me when i log in? I would appreciate any advice, or how reliable is this type of purchase?

You may have some luck saving the video files to your hard drive if you use Firefox and an extension like Video Download Helper.

Just been playing around with that prog, works very well. But could the videos be blocked from downloading and if so is there a way around that. If i go ahead with the purchase i would, after all, have paid for them.

They may be able to lock you out of downloading them, for example, that program doesn't seem to work with Netflix. But I think there are programs that will record what is on your screen, I can't remember any names offhand though. Perhaps someone else will.

I think the bottom line is if you are really set on having your own copy there will always be a way to do it.
