i was just wondering. i got an asus a8n sli deluxe mobo. the pc came with RAID config for my 2 160GB hdds. is there any way to remove the raid config without losing the stuff on the harddrives. this may be a stupid question but i thought i might try...

ya, it says that its a 306.77 gb hdd. and its managed by nVidia. now i know for a fact that i have 2x 160gb hdds so i also don't know why its saying i only got 306 gb....

It is then probably running a RAID-0 stripe I'm afraid. If you can't move the data to another PC or backup it on DVDs, you won't be able to keep it when removing the RAID stripe.

ya it is. i found the prog called nvraid. it says that the hdds are in a striping array. the manual says to right click on the array and then select delete but when i right click it only has hot plug array... what do i do?
