SATA drive freezing my PC

XP2600+
Lanparty NFII Ultra B
2Gb Ram
2x 120GB IDEs On ide 1(Booting from the primary)
1xDVD Burner On ide 2
1x200GB SATA

Am confused due to the fact that my pc will freeze for about a minute or so when writing to my SATA, then it regains it's composure for about a minute or two and then freezes(repeat until writing cancelled).


Have no idea why. Any ideas?

I don't have any idea why it would do that. But without your mentioning drivers I would first suggest you look and see if you can update/reinstall the drivers for the sata controller.
