Screen problems

Hi


dose anyone know why I keep getting a black screen! I have taken apart 2 working laptops, before I took them apart the laptop screen were in working order, the 1st one i took the charged the screen at first it went white and now there nothing on the screen but it still powers up! the 2nd I charged the heatsink when switched it back on there was no display on screen, were am I going wrong have I forgot to do some thing? :?
