STALKER problems help

umm just got stalker. first had problems trying to load the game.
it would crash while loading all the files and what not.
so i got the latest patch and updated graphics card driver.

now the game loads and after the first movie playing the actual game there is no map or level loaded. its just blank with the sky no walls.
tried all different video modes graphics options. cbf trying anything else.

uhh...little help to say what graphics card and processer you have

oh yeah sorry.
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13ghz
2 gig ram
geforce 8800gts 640mb


the game should run easily as ive had no problems with any other new high graphic/perfomance chewing games.
