Strange problem on açer laptop

I have one Acer TravelMate 4002wlmi battery works fine 1:30h but battery only charge whit laptop on iff i shut off dont charge

Any one now what cna i do whit this?

"I have an Acer TravelMate 4002. The battery works fine for about 1 hour 30 minutes but battery will only charge with the laptop on. If I shut it off, it won't charge... Any one know what I can do for this?"

The power settings in the Control Panel may be corrupt. Or the internal charging circuits may be damaged

Thats wierd - I have just posted to this thread and it ain't there...

Some Acer laptops have the facility of managing more than one battery so you should check that this is set correctly in both the control panel and the BIOS if present.

Some acer laptops have options to manage more than one battery - maybe tmagic650 is on the right track with control panel settings but check also laptop's own power management in the BIOS.

The costumer take laptop and don't came back again strange, i don't have a change to try configuration on bios our windows
