Taskbar/noticication area temp

I'm looking for a harmless free program I can download that will show my local temp in the notification/taskbar area. TIA:)

Weatherbug has something that displays temp in the task bar. The Weather Channel has a desktop app, it might do what you want if it's minimized. I haven't used either, so can't comment.

I do have a Weather Channel gadget running on my desktop (Win7) and 1-click Weather add-on, also from TWC, running in Firefox. Like them both. Shows alerts, current, hi & low temp, maps, multi-day forecasts.

Rabbit01, how safe is weatherbug? I found this http://www.spamlaws.com/weatherbug-adware.html

The last paragraph makes me hesitant.

Did a quick search, looks like the adware issue which made the program unfavorable hasn't happened since '05. In a forum for Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/inde...erbug-not-allowed/page__p__126355#entry126355), it says that they've updated the program so it won't flag Weatherbug (paid version looks like).

The EULA says the program is ad supported (or go the subscription route for no ads) but "THE SOFTWARE DOES NOT MONITOR OR REPORT BACK TO AWS ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE SURFING OR WHAT YOU DO ON ANY WEBSITES. "

Should be safe. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

OK, I'll give it a shot. The free version that is. Hopefully I won't get any nasties. Thanks.
I just went to the weatherbug website & decided to read their "WEATHERBUG END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT" http://weather.weatherbug.com/about-us/terms-of-use/desktop-products.html
Since I didn't like this google search https://www.google.com/search?q=MyW...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
I'll stay with my www.wunderground.com weather website. Thanks anyhow. :)

Think that browser bar is an option.

Anyway, if you want the latest weather info at your fingertip, take a look at 1-click weather add-on for FF. If you're using the latest FF, then read the comments and get the modified one by Silverhawk. The add-on adds weather info to the status bar.

Google desktop is another option, you can add weather gadget to it. I have a Weatherbug gadget running on my work laptop (XP Pro). But there are other non-Weatherbug options.

I have XP . I'm currently trying forecast fox. Its ok for a browser addon. At one time I had the thing from The Weather Channel but was told it was ad ware.
I'll check out the one you mentioned. Might just stay with www.wunderground.com thanks.

Haven't visited weather underground in a while. I do like the full screen option. Thanks for the link.
