But anyway, if memory serves, the EU has a population around 20% higher than we in the states, so a 15% boost in funding seems pretty good.

Higher EU military spend means more competition for American weapons manufacturing, and like Boeing is getting its clock cleaned by Airbus it's not necessarily a tech battle we will win.

Ironically, weapons are one of the few things that are basically 100% manufactured in the US too thanks to NatSec purposes.

I generally agree though that Europe and anyone doing business with us needs to start looking at options other than "The US will handle it" cause we won't and our house isn't in order.
