Trouble reinstallin xp

Ok this like the 3rd time I have to reinstall my windows which should not be hard b ecause i have the disk but whenever i try to intall the windows cd and it askes me to press F8 If i agree to continue every time i presss the key nothing happens every other button works with that screen but it seems as if the disk does not want me to agree no matter how hard I press F8 and there is nothin rong with my keyboard so can anyone plz tell me whats wrong and what I need to do I am honestly begging.

I have a keyboard that has a little button on the left side that activates the F-keys. If I don't press that as it's booting, I can't access the F-keys. Look on your keyboard for an F lock or something similar.

Thanx I do have that button on my key board I never even noticed but i pressed and now im able to contine so thank you very much
