TV Tuner problem

Hi

I have a problem with a Kworld TV tuner.
After I install the drivers Windows XP recognize the PCI card and everything seems to be ok but...
when I am trying to run the TVR software that comes with the tuner I get the following message :
"honestechTV.exe has encountered a problem and needs to
close" and then the program stops.
I have tried to download new drivers from the site that supports the tuner as an update patch for the software too,
but the problem persists.
I have also uninstalled any antivirus software but nothing!
I would be grateful if someone suggest a solution.
My system consists of :
Intel Celeron 2.8GHz
Asus P5GD1 Pro M/B (Intel 915 chipset)
Geforce PCX 6600 based Graphics card (DirectX 9.0c)
256 MB DDR
Windows XP service pack1

You might want to run the program in some compatibility mode. Try Windows 98 for example.

Also, depending on the TV chip your tuner uses, you may be able to use some generic TV tuner software instead of the one that came with your card.

hi,

i've got the same problem. Once the program did run without any problems - but suddenly i've got that crap message everytime i try to start it. its blablabla access violation at module.... etc

I've tried everything - but it didn't help.

Which card

Which chipset does this card use because my freind had a pixelview card this dosent work in windows 2000/ win xp but mine works so check the chipset and if it is a new one check the box whether it has any thing like compatible with win xp(it is usaually a logo).

if it is not try the compatibility mode or check for third party drivers.
