I am dual booting windows vista and ubuntu, and i dont know haw to copy files from the windows partition of the hard drive to the ubuntu partition. Is this possible and if so, how do i do it?
Thanks
Harry

It would be easiest for you to just grab them from your Windows partition while booted into Ubuntu. Ubuntu has your NTFS read/write components installed by default. Look under places from your Ubuntu menu.

Try installing the ntfs-3g packages from your Synaptic Package Manager - this will give you read/write capabilities in NTFS if for some reason you don't already have it.
