Hi everyone, friday morning I turnned on mi pc just to see that the file pci.sys was missing or corrupted. I've tried to correct the problem by inserting the windows xp sp2 to my computer, with the result that when is going to come the windows setup screen, it delivers a bluescreen with the 0x0000007B error code.

I have a Dell XPS710 system
2 hdd controled by RAID technology (2x320gb)
An additional 160gb hdd.
4gb memory.

Last week I had to remove 1gb of memory, 'cause the pc couldn't start at all. No screens no nothing, just a constant beep.

I've read everything but it seems imposible to get even in safemode, or in every mode by pressing F8.

I really need help.

Sincerely = soportejd...

pci.sys errors are a common result of memory failure. Try each memory module individually to see if the problem goes away. You may also want to try www.memtest.org to help you troubleshoot.

I've tried the memory test, hdd diagnostic, and several test that come with the utilities partition in the pc. At the Dell support center they tell me that I need the original Dell Cd to repair the PCI.sys file. Thanxs for your reply.
