Hi guys, i recently re-installed sp2 on my XP Pro. After installation, all of my usb devices (mouse, keyboard, card reader) stopped working. They are functional before windows loads, i was able to go into Bios and use my keyboard to navigate.

i checked Device Manager and everything checked out fine there.

I was able to plug in an old keyboard and access my folders that way. Any help is welcome!

Sounds like XP has gone ti*s up with the USB side of things, I have seen this happen on many machines,

Heres how to fix it

Unplug any USB devices
Go into device manager and find the section for USB , expand the list by clicking the plus sign next to it, now uninstall all items.

Reboot and let windows refind your USB, make sure you are logged on as adminstrator not a user.

Post back and let us know

Regards
