Video Adapter Driver Issues

I have an eMachine T3265 w/an AMD 3200 running Windows XP with an nVidia Gforce 4 graphics card. I constantly get a

STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

blue screen, when I do just about anything. I can't listen to music, play vidoes, let alone games and I can't even update Windows anymore. Windows indicates that the problem is cause by a bad Video adpater driver stuck in an endless loop. I have followed their recommendation and updated the nVidia driver to no avail, I have replaced the RAM and run a memory utility and it checks out. Ran a virus-scan and no viruses. Cleaned the registry etc etc. I suspect the video card may be faulty, but before I go an buy a new one I was wondering if there is anything else that may be causing the problem. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Luke

You could try running scandisk to see if you have any minor hard drive errors.

Have you tried running dxdiag to see what that says?

check your PSU. Emachines are total crap computers. Notorious for faulty and cheap components. PSU failure is very common.
