Wanting to change graphic card

I got this old emachine et 1161-01 with geforce 6150se already attached to it, and recently i have had some problems with games and videos. I am not a computer person, so i have no clue what my computer's motherboard can hold up to. does anyone have some idea what kind of graphic card i can buy with price less than $100 and has good quality? because i am a college student, and i am short on money.

From what I could find it seems that the eMachines ET1161-01 has a PCI-Ex16 slot.

I would recommend the XFX HD 4770 but it would cost about $112 including shipping.

If that's beyond your budget, the Radeon HD 4670 would also do fine.

NOTE: You will have to change your power supply in order to be able to use either of the cards mentioned. A good 400W PSU, like the Corsair 400CX, should be fine.
