What does your desktop look like?

Another update to my Athlon desktop
Athlon2600_12Sept03.jpg

Maybe I'll convert it to flash so you guys can see my desktop in action - it's pretty cool - animated and takes very few cpu cycles to do so.

DualView Goodness

I'm playing around with the QuickLaunch bar these days. It's still very plain compared to the desktops of some of you guys.;)

Wow mic, that wallpaper is alive. It seems to create a wierd optical illusion that makes you believe the patterns are rotating. Very strange indeed. It would drive me nuts.

Lol, no agissi, it's an optical illusion. It's not an animation.

Look at it then look at something that was 'moving', its no longer moving, thus continue and you will never be able to focus on one moving.

no way...lol

i could sware they are moving in a gif

but then i stare at one and it never moves yet the others do

starting to think your right

I recently downloaded RedHat 9 & I have to say it was the fastest Linux instalation I've ever had. I detected all my hardware devices & most suprisingly all the onboard devices on the a7n8x DX. Almost all because it didn't detect the nVidia NIC so I'm using the 3Com in the meantime. I also don't have DualView up & working but that's really being picky.;)

Nevertheless :grinthumb to RedHat.

Here's a screenshot of the desktop I got upon my first boot.

May all the desktop tweakers forgive me, I shall morph that desktop into a colorfoul, mesmerizing, unproductive mess as soon as possible...

It has been a long time since I posted on these boards, let alone posting some screen shots of my desktop. So, here they are:

Yes, there are a few icons there, but that's how I like it :) .

It would seem like you have an EICON adsl modem. I know that little green icon next to the time.;)

I finally got a battery power meter for BeOS, so I reinstalled my laptop, and now have my cleanest desktop in YEARS...
