Well... That's the idea, really - to take time and see what all of the little ins and outs are.

it does not expend resources
it does not have stupid icons, shortcuts, menus and other bad things
it uses only microsoft windows primary settings and software, icons, etc...
it is extremely organized.
as you can see everything is default, there are no "remains" all files are controled. the only thing that i should change is maybe this menu "thing computer 1" right next to the start menu because i made it... you can not right click the taskbar and select that toolbar.

Thing, if you were really worried about saving ressources, you'd be working in console mode. A wallpaper only taxes the VGA memory & I think everyone in here has at least 8mb of that at least ( except Veh which has a 1mb Cirrus Logic ISA card ).
What's funny though, is when people spend more time tweaking their desktop & making it look a certain way rather then actually using it.

Thing, was that a count of my wallpapers posted and the total size? I don't like to compress my jpgs any more than I absolutely have to - it's already bad enough that I've come down to jpg 
BTW, I have many more desktop screenshots that I could post - but some of them are just too big

Im running dual moniters so my wallpaper is so right now, not the best but i constantly alternate week to week. Went to the sites where you got your wallpaper but they make you pay! :evil:
