What does your desktop look like?

I'm a bit late here so I hope you all don't mind me jumping in. Anyway, here is a desktop shot, I hope...

The Mandrake 9.2 install from my new dedicated Linux box (posting from now...)

Argh, it seems everywhere I look I see RealPlayer.:dead:

With so many different Linux distros installed on your machines, do you really have the time to test them out & appreciate the subtle differences that might exist between them ? ;)

november.txt

It changes every month, but it's always this clean. After I beat a game, it is uninstalled, etc. This one is from the beginning of November.

hello

it does not expend resources
it does not have stupid icons, shortcuts, menus and other bad things
it uses only microsoft windows primary settings and software, icons, etc...
it is extremely organized.

as you can see everything is default, there are no "remains" all files are controled. the only thing that i should change is maybe this menu "thing computer 1" right next to the start menu because i made it... you can not right click the taskbar and select that toolbar.

Phantasm66 - 19 files - 3 megabytes
LNCPapa - 11 files - 9.11 megabytes

bye

I dont think it matters allot Thing, with the computers now a days you dont even notice that you even have a wallpaper on or allot of icons floating arround.

I used to notice it on my (very) old system. But with a P4 with 512mb ram, it goes very smooth.

Greets Crazy,

I forgot, here's a update of my desktop

And here is one of my laptop

PS: I changed the desktop because DIDOU didn't like it :dead:

Thing, if you were really worried about saving ressources, you'd be working in console mode. A wallpaper only taxes the VGA memory & I think everyone in here has at least 8mb of that at least ( except Veh which has a 1mb Cirrus Logic ISA card ).

What's funny though, is when people spend more time tweaking their desktop & making it look a certain way rather then actually using it.

& Crazy, that big head almost made me spill my drink.

Its not actually RealNetworks RealPlayer, its Be, Inc RealPlayer - licenced the source, didn't port anything but the actual media engine. Its only RealPlayer 6 anyway

Thing, was that a count of my wallpapers posted and the total size? I don't like to compress my jpgs any more than I absolutely have to - it's already bad enough that I've come down to jpg :) BTW, I have many more desktop screenshots that I could post - but some of them are just too big :(
