What does your desktop look like?

wolfram it looks like you are using a program like the one I'm using in the post above yours. But yours is different. I see the Vista flag button on the start bar is complete where as mine is cut off. What's the name of the program/skin you are using? Mine is called Vista Transformation Pack.

Thanks to both of you...those are some pretty sweet setups. I believe I'm going to check into the programs you have listed.

Man you guys are creative!

I use to have no icons on my Desktop ( I deleted the Recycle Bin ) and it was very clean and organized. The screenshot I took is very low-res because Photobucket resized 1680x1050 to like 600x800 :(

Hubble was pointed at a blank spot in the sky the size of a dime. The resulting image, called The Hubble Deep Field, the result of a 275 hour exposure shows the "blank" spot to contains thousands of galaxies. Each spot you see is not a star but an entire galaxy. The small planet in the lower left corner is not a planet, but Jupiters moon Io, and is my recycle bin. The desktop theme is Royal Noir, that I modified to remove text and logo from start button. I'm still on my minimalist binge.

The log on screen is a three image composite of Jupiter, Io, and a Mars probe (I couldn't find a decent image of the Cassini probe that took the two planetary shots)

I am so happy that this thread is re-animated :)

I chose the inverted map because this is a linux machine running with a 23" Mac Cinema Display and people here think I'm the Windows guy. Confuses people at work.

I was playing with palettes and diffusion dithering on a shot of a red and white two tone 55 chevy, and came up with this. Then of course I had to make a chevy logo recycle bin.
